In the northern French municipality on the Belgian border, the municipal sewage disposal system is being comprehensively renewed. In order to minimise costly earthworks and the associated traffic restrictions, the pipes are being laid using the HDD method. GEROfit^® NEXUS wastewater pressure pipes from Gerodur, with their highly crack-resistant protective jacket made of a modified polyolefin compound, are excellently suited for the installation process that places heavy demands on the material and ensure the subsequent, detailed location of the installed pipe. The laying of the pipes as well as the GEROfit^® NEXUS system-compliant production of the heating element butt-weld joints was supervised and supported by the technical staff of Gerodur.
