Extension of the gravel conveying systems with the GEROtec MINING system

In Mühlberg on the river Elbe in southern Brandenburg, sand, gravel and gravel mixes have been mined and processed since 1968. Elbekies GmbH is Europe's largest gravel plant and a renowned supplier to the construction industry.
Long-term test series with different pipe materials were carried out for the transport of the stone-containing mining mixtures. After evaluating these test series, Elbekies GmbH decided to use GEROtec MINING pipes for new investment projects.
These Gerodur pipe systems have both the installation-friendly properties of PE pipes (low weight, flexible workability, long-term pressure operation) and excellent abrasion resistance when conveying water-solid mixtures.
The pipes were custom-made and delivered as 20m straight lenghts with pre-assembled FDC weld-on stub ends on both sides. The GEROtec MINING weld-on stub ends ensure effort-reduced initial assembly on site, system-compatible connection variants to project-specific components (e.g. control and measuring stations) as well as time-saving, process-related dismantling and conversion work (utilisation-optimised pipe rotations).
