EMDS protective pipes high-performance class at the lake Kleine Müritz
Development of the municipality of Vipperow
Crossing underneath a tributary of the lake Müritz as well as the Sumpfsee-Kanal (Swamp-Lake Canal)
Crossing underneath a tributary of the lake Müritz as well as the Sumpfsee-Kanal (Swamp-Lake Canal)
On behalf of Telekom, protective pipes made by Gerodur were laid using the HDD method as part of development measures. The routes run through an a water-rich environment, so that crossings of two water bodies had to be carried out in this section. In addition, there was a need to minimise the impact on the sensitive natural environment in the Mecklenburg Lake District during the construction work. Due to their high resistance to stress cracking, the EMDS protective pipes of the high-performance class PE100-RC are excellently suited for installation with the HDD method, which places high demands on the pipe wall. For this purpose, the pipes were manufactured in the project-specific SDR level 7.4.
