The new "Kirschallee" industrial estate is being built on the site of the former VEB (K) agricultural machinery factory "Fortschritt" in Neustadt / Saxony, which will be supplied with drinking water by the local utility ZVWV Pirna/Sebnitz with a new routing. The use of RCprotect® pipes allows for cost-effective installation due to the fact that the soil is not d during backfilling. For uniform identification, the pipes were manufactured in two layers with a co-extruded coloured outer layer.
Permeation-tight GEROfit® -REX pipes were used on approx. 25% of the laid section in order to exclude contamination of the medium in the soil that may have been contaminated during previous industrial use.
