When distributing environmentally friendly energy reserves over long distances, care must be taken to minimise construction-related encroachments on nature and agricultural land. For example, the pressure pipeline must be laid with a minimum of soil movement ("low-trench") and working time. For the milling method chosen for this purpose, a Gerodur RCprotect® pipe is used, which enables time- and cost-saving backfilling with the excavated milled material. In addition, the pipe is supplied as bar stock with individual lengths of 20m or 13.4m, so that the number of welded joints can be reduced and continuous installation lengths maximised ("endless welding"). This ensures that pipelines are laid economically and in a way that conserves resources.
