Rehabilitation of main transport pipeline

In the second construction phase, the main supply line (grey cast iron) in the Wickerstedt area, which was in need of repair, was renovated in 2023. Similar to the first construction section in Eckartsberga, the existing route of the old pipeline was used for the new installation of a GEROfit^® R protective jacket pipe. Here, too, the old pipeline had to be shut down for the duration of the pipe installation and a temporary drinking water pipeline installed. In this project, the exposed interim pipeline was partly erected on up to 5.50 m high support structures, so that the route could be routed without affecting any traffic routes to be crossed.
